When I first started drawing this deer I saw a few different pictures that inspired me to draw something Celtic. As I drew, I started out with the knotting first and small shapes that would start to form the stag. It was a slow process and I put it off for awhile because I couldn't get the knotting right on his antlers. I finally ca,e back to it and I was able to finish it. I just used pencils and I learned that a little bit of patience goes a long way.

When I started this project I had no real idea in mind. I decided to use whatever came to me and go from there. I started by using regular markers and playing with using different points of the marker to make different lines. I learned how to make big and small lines with the markers and I had fun doing it!
At the start of the year I had minimal art skills. Through this class I was able to improve my calligraphy, and I learned more letters in the alphabet. I also improved on the use of shading in my drawings and I was taught where to put light to make my pictures more realistic. Something new I learned was how to use water color. I absolutely loved how I could blend colors and get unique paintings by putting different papers together. I also learned how to use aerosol to make a really cool wind blown effect and make different shapes. Something I probably could have improved on before I ran out of aerosol, was to start controlling the spray and make it go into my own shapes instead of random formations. Overall, I really improved and I absolutely love this class. I can't wait to see what I'll learn next semester!
I started this when my teacher showed me how to spray paint with aerosol. I used black ink and then sprayed it into a circle. It just started to look like a whale so I left it like this. I then painted the inside with blue. I will add an eye to it soon. I really enjoy painting with aerosol. It's a lot of fun and you can make random things out of nothing.
